Organic, nutrition-rich cucumbers rapidly sold out at Manbat this weekend as visitors and residents alike filled their sustainable shopping bags with produce grown right here in the UAE.
Cherry tomatoes, aubergines, green lemons, beetroot and potatoes were sought after at Pure Harvest Farm’s display along with other participants at the popular farmers market.
A selection of premium dates were available from the Hawa AlDhaid section – khalas, shahal, hilal and lulu to choose from.
Manbat runs regularly at Aljada and is a weekend destination for the entire family.
In addition to honey, nuts and figs, there was specialty coffee on offer along with aromatic pide made entirely from farm-fresh ingredients, and delicious lassi – a chilled yogurt drink.
Crafts and home décor items were also available, decorative and functional pieces made right here in the UAE. Henna artists etched ornamental designs on eager palms, while children were kept engaged painting canvases that they later took home.
Aljada is located at Muwaileh and is the stylish heart of Sharjah’s new downtown. Manbat offers the freshest, high quality regional produce. Manbat farmers’ markets are a source of wellness as well as family-friendly entertainment and are proudly Emirati!
